Beaver Scouts

5-7 yrs.

Meet Fridays,

6-7pm

Fun and friendship is the cornerstone of the Beaver Scouts program.

Beaver Scouts opens the door for your child to discover the world. It is filled with a little bit of everything – outdoor activities, games, music and sports. Along the way, Beaver Scouts meet new friends, learn cooperation and teamwork and develop self-confidence.

Beaver Scouts are welcomed into a group of energetic boys and girls just like them. They will meet with kind and caring leaders that will help them with anything they need to know about being a good Scout. They will feel respected and appreciated for their own uniqueness, and encouraged to bring all they can to their group and activities.

Cub Scouts

8-10 yrs,

Meet Mondays,

6:45-8:30 pm

Challenging hikes, weekend camps, and an introduction to water activities like swimming or sailing are just a few of the fun outdoor adventures that our Cub Scouts enjoy.

With the Cub motto of "Do Your Best" front and centre, Cub Scouts are encouraged to try new and more challenging activities.

Learning important first aid skills, paddling a canoe for the first time, or leading a game at camp will open the door for Cubs to try other adventures they never thought possible.

Along the way, Cub Scouts learn how to take care of themselves and work as a team – and most importantly have a lot of fun!

Group Committee

9-90+ yrs.

Meet 1st Thurs of each month

7-8:30pm

All Welcome to attend

The Group Committee is a group of concerned adults, quite often parents of youth members, who want to be involved in Scouting but don’t want to be section leaders.

Meeting are held at the Church of the Resurrection (Fireside Room) on the first Thursday of each month, September to June.  Meeting start at 7:00 and run about 90 minutes.

The Group Committee is essentially responsible for providing support to the section leaders and providing for Quality Programs on behalf of Scouts Canada. The Group Committee provides the administrative foundation for the section leaders to do their job with the youth.

Some of the things that Group Committee does includes:

  • organize fundraising (popcorn sales, bottle drives, etc),

  • approve group budgets and program plans, organize group events ( Parent/Youth banquet, etc),

  • maintain/obtain equipment needed by the groups and make sure the kids are having fun!

For information on how you can make a difference, big or small, talk to any Group Committee member or any Leader.

It can be the best time and the most fun you've ever had!
